Sensei Tina Stevens, (4^th Dan) began her training under Hanshi Renzie Hanham in Christchurch (8th dan),  New Zealand in 1981.

In 2002, she competed in the International Benefit Tournament where she was awarded Sogo (comprehensive achievement) after placing 1^st in Kata (forms), 1^st in Kumite (fighting) and 2^nd in breaking.

In 2003, she has attended the annual Black Belt Seminar at Honbu, Seido’s international headquarters in New York City, and was graded to 3^rd Dan during a visit by Kaicho Tadashi Nakamura (9th dan).

She has also competed in Japan and New Zealand, taking 1^st and 2^nd  place in Kata and Kumite (contact) respectively.
